The conference is poised for a huge return to McCormick Place on October 13-14. It will feature hundreds of exhibitors, 350+ speakers, AIA CES workshops, a Festival of Construction, and exclusive free-to-attend networking events, including Meet the Buyer, Women in Construction, and Diversity in Construction.
The Building Enclosure Technology and Environment Council (BETEC) is charged with encouraging optimum energy use of buildings through a better understanding of how overall, complex building components interact with each other and the environment.

The United States enjoys one of the highest standards of living in the world. One contributing component of this standard of living is the supporting array of buildings and infrastructure. According to the Environmental Protection Agency this building stock constitutes approximately 40 percent of the total yearly energy expenditure of the nation, and accounts for 12 percent of total water consumption, 68 percent of total electricity consumption and 38% of total carbon dioxide emissions into our atmosphere.
