Building Innovation: Who’s the 2024 Exceptional Woman in Building?
2024 is a big year for the National Institute of Building Sciences.
NIBS officially was established in August 1974, by the U.S. Congress in the Housing and Community Development Act, Public Law 93-383. At that time, Congress recognized the need for an organization to serve as an authoritative source supporting government and private sector building science research, code/standards development, and innovative technology integration.
NIBS has released the schedule for the Building Enclosure Science & Technology (BEST6) Conference March 18-20, at the Sheraton Austin Hotel at the Capitol.
The conference theme is "The Next Generation of Building Technology," focusing on the impact of climate change on building enclosures, new techniques in building design and construction, durability, and sustainability.
Every year, NIBS recognizes built environment professionals – thought leaders, change-makers, and innovators – folks who are getting things done and their work and projects support the industry in big ways.
