The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) has released the ASHRAE Standard 241, Control of Infectious Aerosols, a new publication detailing airborne infection risk mitigation for buildings. The publication establishes minimum requirements to reduce the risk of disease transmission by exposure to infectious aerosols in new buildings, existing buildings, and major renovations.
The U.S. Celebration of World Standards Day (WSD) is an annual event recognizing the importance of various stakeholder groups across the standards community, including business leaders, industry, academia, and government. The event features a yearly theme relevant to the broader community and its priorities, and includes presentation of the Ronald H. Brown Standards Leadership Award.

Fortune and host Amy Peck covered the U.S. National BIM Program, adoption rate, and advances in standards, as well as the ISO 19650 Standards.
An executive roundtable of industry leaders met this month to discuss project updates related to building information management (BIM). National BIM Program Executive Director Johnny Fortune led the meeting which outlined the upcoming release of the U.S. National CAD Standard (NCS) and the National BIM Standard-United States (NBIMS-US), as well as planning activities for the U.S. National BIM Program (NBP).
